Teachers at Savin Hill Yoga

Teachers at Pearl Street Studios run their own classes as if they were operating their own yoga studio. Each of the talented instructors listed below has their own style and approach to yoga. They are all worth a try.

Josie Bray

Josie's all level vinyasa class (Monday 7:15-8:15) uses elements of meticulous                                                            alignment and proper muscular activation with simple vinyasa sequencing.  Expect to                                                    sweat a little, to find your uijayi breath, and to connect to the strength of your center.                                                    You'll get lots of hands on adjustments, and hopefully leave more relaxed and present                                                    than when you came.  Bring your sense of humor!

Larry Pryor

                                                      Larry Pryor

Larry came to Yoga after a serious spinal injury in 1992. Working as an                                                                    engineer he was crushed by a large piece of machinery. He became paralyzed in                                                        both legs and remained that way for 6 months until successful reconstructive                                                            surgery returned life to the nerves in his spine. The long road to  recovery                                                                included his first yoga classes. Under the kind care and open heart of Yoga                                                                instructor Patricia Brennan he regained to use of his legs and learned to walk                                                            again. Subsequently Larry studied Viniyoga with Judy Baker and received his                                                              certification from Fitness Resource Associates in Needham Ma in 2002.

Larry also has a background in psychology and philosophy. He currently teaches                                                        a wide range of Yoga and Meditation classes including classes for regular                                                                    students , disabled students, seniors and students who have experienced                                                                  episodes of mental illness. Students with any handicap or disability are welcome                                                        to contact Larry for advice on how Yoga can best serve them. Students of all                                                              levels of ability are welcome in Larry's classes. All classes at SHYC are handicap                                                          accessible.
